Cardinals won last night buy a score of 6 to 1!! Im tired i tried to stay up and watch it all last night but i fell asleep around the 6th inning. all i hear is people typing really fast and im over here just taking it one key at a time. My though process is not moving as fast as my hands right now.

Its been a long weekend cant believe its monday. i hate mondays, seriously i think we could start the week on any other day and it still wouldnt be as bad as mondays. Start the week on a tuesday would be much better than mondays. Friday night some friends and i went crusin around until about 1a.m. so i slept until about 11am that morning. which was nice. then i had a great easter dinner saturday. and then i went to a friends house and played pool. and now i am really tired. tonight is opening night for the St.Louis Cardinals Wano against Kennedy of the D-backs.

I reallly cant believe we had school friday, although im some what glad we did cause i got 10 bonus points in my government class. After class i went home and took a very long nap, before going to my friends house where we had a little get together with some of our friends from high school. it was nice seeing everyone again, even though i cant say i really missed some of them. Saturday was my birthday and  woke up around 10:30 which was quite nice since i havent slep in, in probably two weeks. All day i pretty much just sat around and relaxed didn't really want to do anything. Sunday i went to lunch at HuHot with my family i had never been there before but it was really good and it was nice being able to pick excatly what you wanted. then i went home and finished cutting up the rest of the meat i needed to make jerky. Now i cant wait to get home and finish up what i have cookin and start eating it! I havent had any for about 3 months so im ready for some.

And nothing, nothing, nothing, and still nothing. Too tired to think! Up late studying for a test. Yesterday was my first day of work, and it went really good. It was pretty easy for me since I know baseball and how to keep book on the games. Although it became progressively more difficult when the remote to the scoreboard quit working. I would click the button and a minute later it would come up on the scoreboard. I wish I had enough money to grab some coffe to wake me up!

A Film Unfinished

            I have read a few books about the holocaust and have watched a few Hollywood movies about it, but I have never seen actual footage of it. I could not believe how bad it actually was I knew they lived in less than optimal conditions but I had no idea that they were that bad. The starvation was something I had never seen. Starvation is what hit me hardest when watching the movie to see how skinny some people were, it was as if their bodies were caving in on themselves. When they showed videos of the dead bodies they didn’t even look like people, they looked like bones with just a small layer of skin over them. Just the amount of pain and suffering these people went through is truly remarkable; to see friends and family being taken from you not know whether they were dead or alive and looking through garbage just to find food. It also amazes me how conniving the Germans were sitting up situations and filming them trying to trick Jews about the truth of ghetto life. I never knew that they would just let the bodies of those who died of starvation just lay around. How someone could do this with a clear conscious is way beyond me. It really goes to show how evil people can truly be. It also amazes me at how long it took for anyone to do anything about it. It also struck me at how the Jews just became so desensitized to death and the mistreatment of others, know if they tried to help others it would just inflict more pain on them. There was one survivor in the movie who I believe said “I couldn’t cry for them then, in fear of what they might do to me, but now I can cry and I thank God that I can cry.”

Herman Cohn

            Herman Cohn was born in Ennce Germany in 1921. His mother died in child birth when she had his younger brother. His father was in the German army. On the night of broken glass his father went to help a friend and the S.S. Searched for him and when he returned home the next day the S.S were there and the beat him. A few days late the S.S. burnt down there Synagog and Herman told someone about it and the S.S found out and they brought him to their headquarters were they beat him for spreading rumors that were true. After that he and his family left Germany and went to Chicago. Once there he enlisted in the army to fight the Germans.

Joseph Morten

Joseph Morten was in Ludz Polland in 1924. He grew in a mostly Jewish community, as a kid he did not have any non Jewish friends. Since his town was mainly Jewish it was turned into a ghetto, where they lived for a couple of years, before being transported to Achwitz I believe by cattle car. No one his cattle car died however it was very crowded and just a hole in the floor to use the restroom. He was a worker in Achwitz. After they were liberated he immigrated to Canada. In Canada he meet his wife and they had a few children before they moved to the U.S. When asked why he believes he survived he says it was mere luck and God had nothing to do with it.

Its been a rough past couple of day my cousin Perk died thursday. He was a great guy who always had a smile on his face no matter how bad the day might have been. He was a huge sports fan, he loved the St. Louis Cardinals, and the LA Lakers, everytime i went to his house it he always had a game on, or one of his favorite movies. He was a great guy and he will be missed dearly.

Late nights of doing homework are finally starting to catch up with me. It was so hard for me to get out of bed this morning, i hit the snooze like 3 times before i even attempted to get out of bed. so tired everything seems to be half speed this morning. Just wish i could go home and go back to bed and sleep til noon. Oh well ill go home and sleep when i get out of school since i have no home work due tomorrow. I hope that if we are out of school tomorrow that there is alot of snow on the ground to make it worth it.

Synopsis

“Graduation”

            A girl is graduating an all black school in 1940. Before she is all excited about her upcoming graduation and looking forward to the future. At her graduation Mr. Donleavy a white man spoke and pretty much said that all they would be come is a basketball player or an athlete. She felt as if they were talking down to them and saying black people had no brain. Patrick Henry her class valedictorian was giving a speech and started reciting the Negro national anthem. For the first time she heard it, really heard it, and was happy to be black and what it stood for.

I can't wait for this day to be over I am looking forward to the weekend. I need to relax and have a lil fun! Ride some horses and hangout with friends. im also excited that spring training starts in just a couple of days. ready to see how the cardinals are going to look, they should be pretty good but they have a big spot to fill in the rotation if carpenter is going to be for the season. Luckly they have young prospects like shelby miller, trevor rosenthal and joe kelly who could possibly step up and fill the void. wow daniel is a really slow typer. it kinda funny actually because he had like a two min head start and ive already have more typed than he does. I think his beard slows him down gets in the way of him seeing the keys. How long is gonna make us type it feels like forever.

My mind is completely blank right now. i got a job yesterday i am going to be a score keeper for the Springfield park board. which is cool for me because i like watching youth sports and getting paid to do so is just a bonus. All i can hear is the tapping of keys on the keyboards and it is enough to drive you crazy. its so annoying. my grandpa fell yesterday and broke his hip and is going to have surgery this morning. Im ready for school to be over so i can go see him, and see how hes doing. once again my mind is blank its so hard to think this early in the morning, i am never going to take a 7 am class ever again. espically an eng class it so hard for me to think on an english level this early in the morning. how long is he going to make us free write my hands are starting to hurt from all the typing i swear im going to have carpultunal when i get older.

Sensory Language

My Story

I was riding my black and white paint horse named duke, down the road one day I smelled a delicious smoky flavor. As I turned the corner to go home, I looked out in an open field and saw a big family gathered together having a BBQ. Riding by I couldn’t believe how many cars sat in the drive way, it looked like the parking lot of most churches on Christmas Sunday. I just passed the house when a tall, lanky man with light brown coconut hair stopped me and asked if I would like to come eat with them, since I had nothing to eat since early that morning and it was afternoon at this point I said, “Sure, I could use something to eat.”

Well it was a pretty good game last night with the ravens winning the super bowl, pretty cool to see the best linebacker in NFL history to go out a winner. The 49iners played very well in the second half though it was not enough after an idismal first half. Joe Flacco took home the super bowl mvp trophy however it was the play of the ravens defense late in the fourth quater stoping the 49iners short on fourth and goal that allowed the ravens to get the win. Other than watching the super bowl i had a pretty good weekend hanging out with friends and riding horses.

Well I had a great weekend bonfires and driving around hangin out with friends. Though its been a great weekend i am absolutely worn out from it. It was very hard for me to get out of bed this morning. I should have went to sleep earlier than i did. Will i guess its back to the grind of the week get up early go to school, and then go look for a job, wish i would just get a call already so i can get my parents off my back. Plus i could use some spending money.

Well its only a few more weeks now until spring trainning starts cant wait the cards are looking good probably the best lineup in the national league with 5 guys hitting 20 homeruns and driving in over 70 runs last year. bullpen is looking good Motte has the ninth on lockdown and boggs has the eiegth. Starting rotation is looking good as well with Wainwright and Carpenter at one and two, Garcia, Lynn or Westbrook.

Synopsis

“The Lesson”

            The point of the story is very unclear a woman named Miss Moore takes some children from her neighborhood to a toy store. In the toy store they all walk around and find different things that interest them, only everything is out of there price range. Flyboy finds a toy sail boat that cost over 1,000 dollars and another finds a paper weight for 480 dollars. After the look around awhile eventually she takes them all the while one of the children still has four dollars Miss Moore gave her in the beginning. Once they get back Miss Moore ask the children what they thought of the store and some reply that they want to go back when they have money, but one reply’s that they eat less in a year than what the sail boat cost. After that they take the four dollars and go get something to eat.

Story Synopsis

“The Story of an Hour”

The story of an hour is about a woman who lost her has heart troubles, and her family tries to break the news of her husband’s death easily. Her sister breaks the news to her and the woman goes into another room shuts the door and reflects on her life. Then her sister tries to get her to open the door and when she does her husband whom they had told her was dead, walks in the room and the woman feel over dead the doctors said she died of joy that kills.

Its been a long weekend and were back in class freewriting again. I am super tired and wore out i have gotten maybe 18 hours of sleep in the past 4 days. oh well my own fault i guess. I need to stop staying up so late! Stan Musial died this weekend one of the greatest hitters of all time and the greatest Cardinal of all time. Not only was he a great player but from everything i hear he was a great man as well. I always wanted to get to meet him but i never got the chance. so ive drawn a blank not real sure what to write now. I just want to go home and go back to bed!! But thats not gonna happen i have two more classes to go to and then i have to go fill out an application at bass pro. Hopefully they get back with me quick and i get the job otherwise its off to work at mcdonalds i go and i really dont want to work there. i always said i would never flip burgers.

Its way to early for this shit!!! getting back in the swing of things is a little harder than i excepted for the past six or seven months i have done nothing but lay around work ride horses and hunt its been nice not having a sechedule or anything being able to do most whatever i want whenever i want. today was particulary hard for me to get out of bed for some reason. and now im blank college is alot different than high school alot for freedom and alot more time to do home work this is the first time i have had to to do a free write in a long time takes me back to all senior year in mrs. troxells class oh how i hated that class but i cant lie it helped me out alot with my writing that damn fifteen page reasearch parper i had to write sucked. alot of sleepless nights neatless to say but partically my fault i procrastinated as usual. sometimes i procarstinate procrastion which makes it hard to get anything done on time. oh well but i better not do that now other wise ill probably fall behind. im so tired and my hands are starting to hurt from typing so much its not even funny. wow it has been really long time since ive had to work my brain this much. im so scater brained its not even funny my brain is like right left up down sideways and all around its crazy and i know were not suppose to care about spelling but if i dont spell something right it doesnt make sense to me so i just have to go back and correct it. im so tired hate having to wake up at five thirty in the mornings it sucks balls. and so does sitting here i want to be back home in my bed sleeping for another 2 or three hours. that would be so nice and if it was two weeks ago i would be. but its not and as they say life must go on. why cant i do something that pays well and doesnt require a college education. oh wait there are no jobs like that anymore.

intro

  My name is Landon Gardner, I'm 18 and this is my first semester at college, I am attending OTC to get my associates in teaching. I graduated high school in the spring of 2012, I did not attend college last semester because I was burned out on school, but I've had a long enough break and I'm ready to get back and pursue my education, and become a teacher.

  Some of my hobbies and interest include hunting, fishing, baseball, and riding horses. I played baseball in high school, I want to be a baseball coach as well as a teacher. I am a huge Cardinals fan I try to catch a little bit of every game I can. I ride horses all the time when its warm enough to ride that is. This past summer I broke horses for a living. I love hunting there isn't much that I don't hunt, deer, turkey, rabbits, and I fish every chance I get. I also like going on float trips, camping out with friends, and having bonfires.

   Other things about me I have had two open heart surgeries the first when I was a year old the second when I twelve. I was born with a condition called transposition of the great arteries. I also had a whole in my heart.
